Our Story

Our song is the slamming screen door, sneaking out late tapping on your window, when you're on the phone and you're talking real slow, 'cause it's late and your mama don't know! (What, you thought you'd get through our entire website without a single Taylor Swift reference?)

Anna Beth and Anthony met in the Spring of 2017 in Washington, D.C. at George Washington University during their Admitted Students' Day. Anna Beth and Anthony were both trying to decide which university to attend for their Masters' program, and sat near one another during a presentation. They ended up spending most of that day together, and even grabbed drinks with some friends later that evening.

They both decided to attend George Washington University to pursue their Master's in Public Administration. After a year of friendship (and much speculation of will they or won't they from their friends) Anna Beth finally agreed to go on a date with Anthony in May of 2018. They have been together ever since. 

 

Together they lived in D.C. for nearly four years where they worked in federal policy. During the pandemic, Anthony and Anna Beth decided to brave a cross county move. They packed up their first apartment together, briefly lived with Anna Beth's family in Georgia and Anthony's mom in Orange County, before moving to Los Angeles in January of 2021. Their little family happily grew by one in November of that year, when they welcomed their beloved husky Lyra into their lives.

On their fourth anniversary, Anthony proposed to Anna Beth near the Santa Monica pier surrounded by flowers cut from Anthony's mom's garden. Today, they now live in Old Town Pasadena, where Lyra gets to enjoy long walks in the park. After almost a two year engagement, they are so excited to marry each other this April.

In January 2024, Anthony and Anna Beth welcomed Kena, their second husky, into their lives.
